Icons of Compassion are revered figures representing kindness, comfort, protection, peace, faith and the alleviation of suffering. They include Goddesses representing the sacred feminine that lives in every human being and the merciful deity Kwan Yin, and holy Mother Mary. As affirmations of faith they are perceived within such symbols as the Coptic Cross. They are represented by wise guardian Angels and protective and comforting Ojizos.
