Avian Ancestors

Cardinals represent both unity and diversity with its bright red color and sharp, yet resonant and uplifting song. They will sing to their mate a beautiful duet and in this way are symbols of devotion, loving relationships, courtship, and romance. Strongly tied to our ancestors they are believed to be messengers of the spirits. When you see a Cardinal, it is said it is a sign from a loved one who has left this world bringing a communication from Heaven. Cardinals help to dissolve our illusions of limitations in their inspiration to allow our inner selves to fly freely in our creative and limitless imaginations. The red bird also symbolizes individuality, integrity, confidence, loyalty to one’s inner truth and wisdom, and recognizing the power we have within ourselves.

Blue birds are a symbol of joy, happiness, peace, freedom and transformation. They remind us to enjoy and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us in art and nature and in our lives. Bluebirds represent something good is on the way. Bluebirds are also said to be messengers from the spirit realms and angelic in their nature.

Golden Tanagers remind us to listen to our higher spiritual calling in life. They represent faith, love and spiritual awakening. Tanagers help us to see something old with new eyes and new understanding.
