Flowers of Awakening Consciousness
Flowers represent the heart energy awakening and being offered to the world with love, joy, compassion and equanimity. A flower can symbolize beauty, peace, healing, magic, light and love. Certain flowers may symbolize specific meanings such as an Iris, the far seeing goddess of vision, represents a message of good news, wisdom and purity or a Crocus as a symbol of innocence, virtue, cheerfulness and hope, in that Winter is ending and Spring is arriving soon; Datura implies clairvoyance, the supernatural, ceremony and the phases of the moon.
The Lotus is a symbol of purity, regeneration, rebirth and transcendence. This flower begins its life growing in the mud and dirt, yet it transcends this state of being in the muddy water and emerges, producing a perfect, beautiful bloom. Buddha and many Hindu Gods are depicted sitting within a Lotus flower; this represents through meditation, how they overcame the pain and suffering of the material world and attained enlightenment. Every person, like the Buddha, has the same potential to become enlightened and thus transcend suffering.
There is a secret language of the flowers we can hear in our hearts when our minds are quiet. Our hearts listen to the song of the flowers, these glorious blossoming angels, which rise from nature’s heart and mother earth, singing a beautiful floral song in their floral choir. They sing with their color, light and fragrance; they sing with their connectivity with the air, water, earth, sun, moon and stars. Their healing song of love radiates into the oneness of all space and time, bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of all living beings.
